Volume II Bridging Vision to Action: From the Copenhagen Declaration of 1995 to the SDGs
The NGO Committee for Social Development has just launched: Bridging Vision to Action Volume II. Thirty years after the Copenhagen Declaration, the promises of social development remain unfinished. This new volume dives into today’s key UN and civil society documents, pertinently asking: Are we truly delivering on the commitments made in 1995? The publication above offers a fresh analysis of global efforts since 2024, civil society’s bold roadmap ahead of the Second World Summit for Social Development and calls to action on poverty, justice, care and inclusion. This publication is more than a review, it’s a demand for action. Get the facts, get involved and join the movement for social justice.

The above publication presents the taskforce findings, perspectives, and recommendations to further advance the goals and commitments outlined in the Declaration. It offers valuable insights into progress, identifies challenges, and proposes actionable recommendations for a more inclusive, sustainable, and equitable future
Call for Actions to inspire Member States
In the months leading up to the Commission, the NGO Committee on Social Development facilitates an inclusive process to draft a Civil Society Declaration. This document is a formal input read at the start of the Commission. It attempts to capture Civil Society’s greatest concerns in social development and calls on Member States to respond to these issues.
